Arcade-Themed Piggy Bank/Pencil Holder

Growing up, I was fascinated by arcades—the flashing lights, the lively music, and the vibrant artwork all around. Inspired by that nostalgia, I wanted to create an arcade-themed piece I could proudly display, so I designed a piggy bank/pencil holder that doubles as a tribute to those classic gaming days.

It took a lot of time and trial and error to get the sizing, design, and overall vibe just right, especially with my friend who has a laser cutter. We tested different layouts, adjusted for accurate dimensions, and finally achieved the perfect combination of aesthetics and functionality.

Since then, I’ve created over 100 designs for people, ranging from classic arcade games to personalized business logos, and even family photos! The designs are sublimated onto MDF wood and glued together. The top, with a slot for coins, can easily be removed to transform the bank into a nifty pencil holder.

Here’s a glimpse of some of the designs I have made. Whether you love TMNT’s Shredder’s Revenge or LEGO Star Wars, these customizable arcade keepsakes will bring a burst of joy to your workspace.
