When Other Universes Meet Marvel’s Animation Style

When Marvel first introduced the What If…? animated series, I wasn’t a fan of the art style. The 3D cel-shaded look felt a little strange. Then I saw Marvel Zombies. I went in expecting more of the same, but was surprised by how much I enjoyed it. The story was stronger, characters were more engaging and I found myself appreciating the visual style that I hadn’t connected with before.

That got me thinking on what some other characters would look like in this style. So I began training an AI model and had so much fun creating A LOT of characters.
