Supergirl Reimagined: Fan Art

Categories: Art | Featured

When I think of Supergirl, my mind races through time, imagining how different actors could have embodied the character in their unique ways. For fun, I created these Supergirls, each bringing something special to the table, representing what I think they could have brought to the role at different moments in history. I stuck with the latest Supergirl costume from the TV show to give it that modern look while imagining these alternate versions of the iconic hero.

Here are some I think would have made remarkable Supergirls, each capturing a different essence of the character:

Denise Richards

With her confident charm and striking features, Denise would have brought a bold and commanding presence to the role.

Elisha Cuthbert

There was a time I genuinely wished Elisha would get the chance to play Supergirl. I think she could have been a modern, relatable version of Kara—a mix of warmth and strength.

Emily VanCamp

Known for her ability to balance vulnerability and resilience, Emily’s Supergirl would have been grounded and heartfelt.

Erin Moriarty

Erin’s portrayal would bring an edgier, contemporary twist to the character, blending grit with the classic optimism of Supergirl.

Just for Fun

I also wanted to experiment with a few others. Not all of them “work” as Supergirl, but it’s always interesting to see how different faces bring new energy to the iconic role:

Cara Delevingne

Her edgy vibe adds a bold twist to the character.

Ana de Armas

Her graceful yet powerful demeanor makes for an intriguing Supergirl.

Adriana Lima

This was a special request from a friend, and while she’s not the traditional Supergirl type, there’s a striking elegance to her version.

My Supergirl: Helen Slater

Finally, I saved the best for last, Helen Slater. She’s the one I was drawn to as a child, and her portrayal is one of the earliest movies I can recall watching. The movie came out when I was 3, but I probably watched it when I was 4 or 5. Even though watching it now feels a bit cringe, back then, it was pure magic.

To honour her version, I reimagined her in her vibrant, original costume and tried to capture the real rooftop look (and also one with a cinematic vibe). For me, Helen Slater will always be my Supergirl.
