Imagine looking into the eyes of William Shakespeare or Isaac Newton as if they were alive today. I’ve transformed historical figures known only through classic paintings into realistic, contemporary images using AI. This project bridges the gap between past and present, humanising these iconic individuals and making them feel more relatable and alive.
Isaac Newton (1642–1727)
William Shakespeare (1564–1616)
Leonardo da Vinci (1452–1519)
Galileo Galilei (1564–1642)
King Henry VIII (1491–1547)
Marco Polo (1254–1324)
I’ve also experimented with creating “realistic paintings” of historical figures such as Joan of Arc and Vincent van Gogh. The challenge was to retain the artistic essence while infusing a lifelike quality into their classic portrayals.
Joan of Arc (1412–1431)
Vincent van Gogh (1853–1890)
I also used a bust of Aristotle to generate a realistic image of him. By working from an ancient statue, I aimed to capture the philosopher’s features as accurately as possible, providing a realistic representation based on his sculpted likeness.
Aristotle (384–322 BC)
I feel these experiments push the boundaries of how we visualize historical figures, blending artistic tradition with modern technology to offer a new perspective on the faces of history.
