AI-Generated Podcast Experiment

Categories: Custom

A few nights ago, I was listening to a podcast about small businesses, and it got me thinking, Wouldn’t it be cool if someone was talking about my Web Design business or Christi’s Watercolour Portraits? That idea stuck with me, so I decided to play around with a bunch of AI tools to see if I could make it happen. I gave them all the information from our websites and let the AI write its own scripts, just to see what it would come up with.

After rendering a few versions, I cut together the best parts. Funny thing, sometimes the AI would call Christi “Kristen.” I have no idea why, but I thought it was interesting and funny because it shows how the technology works and its quirks. I actually left one of those moments in just to highlight that while it’s not perfect, it’s honestly 99% there.

I even made the intro and outro music myself (using a mix of other AI tools), which added a nice personal touch to the project. It was so much fun to piece everything together, even though it was a bit time-consuming, making the cover, creating the music, cutting and editing the audio, and even rendering a video version of it.

What really blows my mind is how this could change how we learn and create. Imagine giving an AI all the details about something you want to understand, and it generates a podcast with “people” you choose, discussing it in an engaging and easy-to-follow way. It’s a total game-changer for studying and learning!

I’m super happy with how it turned out. I kept it shorter than a regular podcast because I didn’t want it to drag on and get boring, but the whole process was such a fun experiment. What do you think…would you listen to or even create an AI-generated podcast?
