My “What’s for Dinner” Cookbook

Categories: Art | Custom | Design | Physical Goods

Every household has its own “What’s for dinner?” dance, and ours usually kicks off around the moment when Christi and I realize our brains are too fried (pun intended, with plenty more on the menu) from the day to even think about cooking.

I decided to whip up a solution. A Cookbook that has a collection of our favorite dishes that pack a punch of flavor without the all-nighter in the kitchen. Which is easily searchable and printable.

To add a pinch of tech to our kitchen mix, I cooked up a handy A.I. program that takes any recipe, whether it’s from a scanned document or a website link, and transforms it into a sleek, uniform format. It’s like having a digital gourmet chef who knows exactly how I like my culinary info served—complete with detailed instructions, equipment lists, bonus tips, and all.

And for the cherry on top, I designed a cover that captures the essence of a vintage cookbook because, as we foodies say, presentation is key.

So now, whenever Christi has run a marathon of errands and the kitchen seems like miles away, she can flip through the book for a quick, fail-safe recipe. Or, she can hand the book to me and I can put on my MasterChef apron and bring her choice to life. And on days when even quick recipes feel like a stretch, there’s a secret section at the back—our local takeaways on speed dial, because sometimes, the best meal is one that comes with zero dishes to wash.
