My AI-Powered Mockups Are Transforming My Logo Design Process

Categories: Custom | Design

As a logo designer, one of the most time-consuming parts of the process is creating mockups for clients. Standard designs like business cards, T-shirts, and letterheads are straightforward, but many clients need mockups tailored to their industry. A mining company might need to see their logo on a hard hat, while a stationery business wants it on pens. Researching images, aligning logos, and making them look realistic with the right reflections and angles can take hours.

I made my own AI mockup process, and it’s so easy (though it did take a while to create). Now, I can load the logo I designed, give it the brief, and even ask for additional mockups not mentioned in the brief. Then I can go and make myself a cup of coffee while it does the work.

To test it out, I used Christi’s business as an example. Christi paints beautiful watercolour portraits (check out her website at www.christileroux.co.za), and the AI generated mockups that showcased her branding across a range of creative products.

Here is a test I did to only show the signature on the bottom left of a tote bag, and it worked.

I could have added “Christi’s Face” to the mockups, but was focussed on the mockups
